¶ Apple Maps Offline Data & GeoJSON Setup (iOS)
Apple Maps offline data is available, but it is offset by 50–100m from the final event placement.
To get higher quality offline maps, use the following process:
¶ 📱 Setup Process (for iOS Devices)
¶ ⬇️ Download the GeoJSON Overlay File to the Device

¶ Using Safari
- Click the link above
- Click More
- Click More again
- Select Save to Files
¶ Using Chrome
- Press the link above
- Press Save…
- Select Files
- Press the blue Save button
- Press Open in…
- Select 📁 Save to Files
- Press Save (file should now be available)
¶ 🌐 Meshtastic Setup
¶ Add Overlay File
- Open Meshtastic app
- Click 🗺️ Mesh Map Tab
- Click ⓘ in the bottom right of the map
- Scroll down to Map Overlays
- Click 📄 Upload map data to enable overlays
- Click 📄 Select Map Data File
- Select

- Toggle Map Overlays to enable
- Toggle the specific map overlay to enable
¶ Hide Apple Maps Street View
- At the top of Map Options → select Satellite
